The company Position s.r.o. is engaged in development of applications and provision of services that use and integrates digital cartographic data with data of customers or localization technologies. The cornerstone is development of its own platform of electronic maps, represented by products NaviGate and NaviGate Web Server. Position s.r.o. provides geographic data, data preparation services and outsourcing of applications.

PROGRAMMER - MAP WEB APPLICATIONS

Position s.r.o. looks for programmer (PHP, JavaScript, DHMTL) for full-time employment in development of web applications in the field of digital maps and provision of localized content.

Job responsibilities

  • development of web applications based on the specification and graphical design, with special focus on visualization of information on map backgrounds (click here for examples of the applications);
  • development of applications and interfaces for information systems;
  • updating and support of existing applications.

Our requirements

  • knowledge of technologies for application development (client) - DHTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML (WML, SVG);
  • knowledge of technologies for application development (server) - PHP, SQL, SQL Stored Procedures (Web Services);
  • knowledge of Apache/IIS, MySQL/ Microsoft SQL (or Oracle) applications;
  • knowledge of TCP/IP, MS ADO, SOAP technologies, knowledge of SubVersion/ CSV is considered as advantage;
  • experience with programming also out of the field of web applications (C++, Pascal, Java, ...) highly appreciated;
  • self-reliance, accountability, carefulness and willingness to gain new experience and learn new things.
